America in turmoil: Pluto Return

Oppression has been a distinguishing feature of America from day one, and in 2020, loud reminders that racism and systems of oppression still exist, but in slightly less overt ways (e.g., police brutality and militarization, criminal justice systemic racism, etc.). America was founded by criminals from Europe who committed catastrophic genocide of indigenous populations and happily engaged in slavery. Even today, we are seeing a variation of this tyranny when the elitist mostly-white ruling-class pass laws that make their billionaire bosses richer and ignore the needs of most black and brown working-class people struggling amid a world-wide pandemic. This struggle will lead to transformation out of necessity. In Astrology, Pluto is responsible for this change. Pluto also will bring the concepts of self-mastery, forgiveness, sharing, and letting-go to the forefront of our society. 

Pluto orbits the Sun once every ~248 years. As the U.S.A. approaches its 248th birthday in 2024, it's not much of a surprise that many Americans are to some extent beginning to face the music in 2020. Pluto will be entering the Zodiac Sign Aquarius in ~2024, which is where it was located in ~1781, when the U.S. first became a country. Aquarius is associated with freedom and independence. The qualitative nature of transformations that are upcoming around 2024 will somewhat resemble those of 1781; although, this time around, it's shaping up to be rebirth. 

Around 1900, when the U.S. transit Astrology chart showed a Pluto-Pluto opposition aspect, it became a world superpower. America's military industrial complex continues to be immensely powerful; however, it's citizens seem to have been gradually losing their power, as a people. Facts show that this country is a nation of, by, and for investors and oligarchs. In the context of the well-being and prosperity of its people, historical events and socioeconomic trends seem to illustrate that the ranking of America among the nations of the world is waning, in more ways than one. Most Americans have been sublimated into a consumer-base through corporate dominion.

The combination of the U.S. Pluto Return cycle in ~2024 and the upcoming Uranus-Pluto trine aspect in ~2026 denotes the occurrence of a substantial and thorough paradigm shift that will be apparent and inevitable before the end of the 2020's decade. The conjunction aspect of Uranus-Pluto in the 1960's resulted in a cultural revolution, and Americans united to create and manifest sociological transformation to the best of their abilities. Conjunction aspects tend to be mixed-bags; although, the upcoming Uranus-Pluto trine aspect suggests that a sociological transformation can occur more smoothly, more successfully, and more substantially.

Corruption and avarice in the U.S.A. seems to have become gradually more insidious over time, similar to how an unsightly boil gradually comes to a head. In less than fifteen years, during the Dark Period, which refers to the Pluto transit of Capricorn from 2008-2023, there have been two devastating economic recessions, that have extorted so much to so few. The question for the American elite is: how much is enough? Pluto energy will clearly reveal how much is enough and when enough is enough, especially when it combines forces with Uranus by trine aspect in ~2026.

This silliness known as the consolidation of wealth is the clearest manifestation of corruption and avarice that are occurring, which is resulting in widespread adversity on the health, wellness, states-of-consciousness, functioning, and overall well-being of the population. Insatiable attitudes and maladaptive behaviors are predicted to dissolve or transform amidst the upcoming paradigm shift and Pluto return.

Now, and going forward, it's very important for each person to practice self-love and self-care. This can help to create and manifest much more well-being among the American population. I predict that America's government, corporations, and institutions will become ethical, accountable, and satiable, not only for themselves, but also for the American people, and hopefully they will remain that way.
